¡Hola a todos! I am currently blogging from my hostel in Cusco, Perú where I will be making my stay for the next five weeks! After a fairly long and mildly arduous flight leaving from New York (JFK) to Lima, Perú we had a brief layover of about two hours to take a minute and get our baggage from one flight to another and pass through customs and security again. After that, we were able to hop on our Cusco flight and head out, but only after a bit of a wait while the runway cleared up and we were in a better position to take off.
But anyhow, Here I am in Perú finally! The hostel(San Juan de Diós) is beautiful and we were driven here from the airport by bus the long way to check things out a little more. It is an awesome looking city and has tons, I mean tons, of national pride displayed by the street signs and the other propaganda-type material that is displayed everywhere.
Well, the World Cup (Copa mundial here in Cusco) third place game is starting right about now and I think I´m going to be going out to see what the local color has to say about Germany vs. Uruguay. ¡Gracias a todos y hasta mañana!
